Asbabun Nuzul
There are several accounts of asbabun nuzul this verse, Ibn Abbas narrated that there was a group of Jews who made food to poison the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam and his companions.
Then came the revelation that told their plot so that the Prophet and his companions could not eat the food.
Another narration also comes from Ikrimah who narrates that the above verse came down regarding Bani Nadhir who planned to place a large stone on the head of the Prophet.
When he came soon and had sat down with them, they ordered Amru bin Jahhas bin Ka’ab to strike the stone.
So Allah informed the abomination that they planned, then the Prophet and his companions returned to Medina.
Upon his return to Madinah, he ordered his companions to besiege the Bani Nadhir until they surrendered. (Al Yasiir fi Ikhtishar tafseer Ibn Katsir by Shaykh Shalih bin Abdullah Humaid: 529)
Summary of tafseer
O you who believe remember the blessings of Allah that have been given to you, and replace it with always gratitude and obedience to His command, when a people intends to attack you with his hand.
The content of this verse is that the attitude of trust in God that is in the hearts of believers is one of the reasons why God holds the hands of unbelievers who want to harm the believers, God thwarts what the unbelievers want against believers.
From the news that led to the revelation of the above verse, as well as other events that prove that Allah will always protect and protect His Messenger, this is none other than because of his perfection in trusting in Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. (tafseer Ibn Katsir 3/59, Ruhul Ma’ani, Al Alusi 4: 410)
Hadith
From Shuhaib Ar-Rumi RA said: The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said: owned by someone other than a believer, when he is happy, he is grateful and gratitude is good for him and when he is afflicted with misfortune, he is patient and patience is good for him. The Treasures of Knowledge
Allah commands us to be grateful for every blessing that Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala has given. Gratitude itself can be done in various ways such as saying the sentence hamdalah each comes to pleasure and do obedience to God as a form of gratitude for favors.
Wives, children, property in the form of gold or silver, vehicles, and fields are some of the material favors that God gives to human beings. Even so, what is in the sight of God is better. God’s blessings are not only material, but God’s protection and the peace that God gives is also a blessing.
Like the plots made by the enemies of Islam from the infidels, the hypocrites who are addressed to Muslims who are then thwarted by their plans by Allah is a pleasure that must be thanked by increasing worship and remembering Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala.
So how can the blessings always be given to us? Several things can be done first, relying on the favors of the member, such as saying ’this is the priority of my god’, second, not being arrogant to human beings for the favors that have been given and third, giving something according to their rights, fourth, praising the essence who has bestowed good favors with words and deeds. (Taisir Karimir Rahman Manan fi tafseer Kalamil by Shaykh Nasir As-Sa’di: 405, Ruhul Maani, Al Alusi 4: 410) Prayerma’tsur
